Delhi HC asks Kejriwal govt to give more time to app-based Cab services to comply with govt regulations

The Delhi High Court today set aside the Delhi government's order by which the government has rejected cab service provider Uber's application for licence.<br/><br/>In its order, the High Court asked Delhi government to reconsider the companies' licence application and said the companies should be given time to comply with government regulations. The court also said that complete ban was not suitable and the companies should be given another chance.<br/><br/>The High Court has issued notice to the Delhi government on a plea from the cab provider. The Uber had on Friday moved the High Court challenging the Delhi govt's refusal to extend its licence for operating radio cabs in the city.<br/><br/>Delhi government had on the 3rd of last month rejected applications for licence by US-based taxi booking firm Uber and two other such service providers – Ola and Taxi For Sure.
