The Delhi High Court has asked the city government and the DTC to explain their stand on a plea alleging violation of the Centre's master plan 2021 in the construction of a bus depot on Yamuna bank opposite the Millennium Park. A division bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justice Sanjiv Khanna issued notice to the Centre, Indraprastha Power Generation Company Ltd , besides Delhi government and DTC and sought their reply on the public interest lawsuit. The petition, filed by city resident Anand Arya through senior counsel Jayant Bhushan, submitted that the land belongs to IPGCL and it was alloted to DTC for construction of temporary bus depot ahead of the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
