Suresh Kumar and Preeja Sreedharan emerged winners among the Indian athletes who took part in the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon today. Suresh completed the 21.1km race in an hour and 04.38minutes while Kerala girl Preeja finished her race with a timing of an hour and 19 minutes. Earlier, Ethiopian Guye Adola and Kenya's Florence Kiplagat won the men's and women's category races of the Marathon which was flagged off from the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium. Adola shattered the course record of 59.12 minutes to finish the 21.1km race in 59.06 minutes. While reigning World Champion Geoffrey Kamworor of Kenya took second place with a timing of 59.07 minutes, Ethiopian Mosinet Geremew clocked 59.11 minutes to finish third. In the women's competition, Florence completed the race in an hour and 10.04 minutes. While reigning World Champion Gladys Cherono came second with a timing of an hour and10.05 minutes, which was two seconds faster than Worknesh Defega's effort.
