The medal winners of the just concluded 19th Commonwealth Games belonging to Delhi will be rewarded by the Delhi Government for bringing laurels to the nation. A cash award of 15 lakh rupees will be given to gold medalists, 10 lakh to silver medalists while 5 lakh rupees will be given to bronze medal winners in the Games.The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. Coaches of these medal winners will also be awarded 5 lakh rupees in cash. Seven wrestlers and three shooters belonging to Delhi clinched medals for the country in the Games.
