Delhi Govt to install Electronic Passenger Info System at bus stops

Delhi Government will install electronic passenger information system at various bus stops in the National Capital which enables the commuters to know about the arrival time of Delhi Transport Corporation, DTC buses and schedules for various destinations.Delhi Transport Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely said that the passenger information system will be introduced in over 100 bus stops during the first phase in the next two months. He also said that all the bus stops will have the system by the middle of next year. Delhi has around 2,500 DTC bus stops. The daily average revenue collection of DTC has increased to 3.5 crore rupees against 75 lakh rupees a few months back. Currently, DTC operates around 6,500 buses including around 4,000 low floor buses in the city.
