Delhi Govt starts mega drive to avoid city's waterlogging

Delhi government has started a mega drive to avoid city's waterlogging problem during the monsoon. Informing this in New Delhi, Public Works Department Minister, Raj Kumar Chauhan said under the drive over 1200 kilometer of drains will be desilted before June this year. He said, all desilting work will be videographed to prevent corruption in the work. Our correspondent reports that over the last few years waterlogging in underpasses has resulted in traffic problem during monsoon in the national capital. To prevent the same this year, the government has also asked for installation of pumps and to check the working of pumps at areas prone to waterlogging.
