Delhi govt. remits sentences of 2,500 Tihar inmates

The Delhi government has remitted sentences of 2,500 inmates lodged in Tihar jail on the occasion of 63rd Republic Day. This special remission has been granted to convicts who have served for less than a year to more than 10 years. Spokesperson of Tihar Prisons, Sunil Gupta said, this remission has been granted only to inmates who belong to Delhi.
