With a view to provide relief to the domestic consumers on the increased tariffs of electricity, Delhi government today announced to provide a subsidy of one rupee per unit in the national capital. It will be applicable to those consumers who will limit their consumption up to 200 units per month.The decision to this effect was taken at a Cabinet Meeting presided by Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit. Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission, DERC, has recently increased the tariffs of electricity in various category. The new rates have come into effect from Sunday.
