The Delhi Government has cleared a number of projects totalling 1,136 crore rupees which included building of over 7,500 rooms for providing temporary accommodation to construction labourers in the national capital. This was approved at a meeting of State Level Steering Committee on the Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewable Mission, presided by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Friday. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Ms. Dikshit said, the Committee also approved a housing project under which 3,600 dwelling units will be built in Kanjhawala for economically weaker section, at an estimated cost of around 230 crore rupees.
