Delhi govt asks anti-graft bureau to probe cases of corruption in CWG projects

The Delhi government has asked the anti-corruption bureau to probe a number of cases of corruption relating to alleged irregularities in Commonwealth Games projects.

Briefing reporters after the meeting today, Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia said that the city government has asked the anti-corruption bureau to probe a number of cases of corruption relating to alleged financial irregularities in related to purchase of street lights during Commonwealth Games. The scam related to purchase of lights caused loss of 31 crore rupees to exchequer.

Earlier in the month, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had promised to initiate action against the previous Shiela Dikshit government on corruption allegations
