Delhi govt approves dialysis centres in govt hospitals

Delhi Government has approved a proposal for setting up dialysis centres under public private partnership mode in government hospitals. The decision to this effect was taken at cabinet meeting chaired by Delhi Chief minister Mrs Shiela Dikshit. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Mrs Dikshit said that the objective is to provide state-of-the-art dialysis facilities to patients at affordable cost to patients. Health Minister A K Walia said the dialysis centres will be set up to provide best possible care to kidney patients. He said the government has decided to set up the centres so that kidney patients do not have to spend a lot of money in private hospitals for dialysis.
