The Home minister today said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by a DCP has been set up to monitor the investigation in the Delhi gang rape case. Speaking suo motto in the Rajya Sabha, Sushil Kumar Shinde said, four persons have been arrested in the case and raids are being conducted to nab the other two culprits.
He said, a lady officer has been deputed to visit the victim to take stock her medical condition. Mr Shinde also informed the House that the Delhi police will launch a crackdown on the buses plying with tinted glasses. The Home Minister said, verification of drivers of all commercial vehicles will be conducted. Mr Shinde also informed that more PCR vans will be provided to Delhi police.
