The key accused in December 16 Delhi gangrape case, Ram Singh allegedly committed suicide in Tihar jail this morning. Jail Sources said, the incident took place in Jail No 3 around 5 AM. He was found hanging in the jail.

His body has been taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for autopsy.

Tihar jail authorities have ordered an inquiry into the incident. Ram Singh was the driver of the bus involved in the gangrape. He was facing 13 charges in the case.

His lawyer VK Anand has confirmed the incident. Ram Singh was supposed to be produced before a trial court today.
