Delhi gangrape case: govt constitutes enquiry commission headed by retd.Justice Usha Mehra

Government today constituted a Commission of Enquiry to look into various aspects of the gangrape of the 23 year-old paramedic in a moving bus on December 16th. Retired Juastice Usha Mehra will head the commission.

The commission will suggest the ways to make Delhi safer for women. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi the Finance Minister, Mr. P.Chidambaram said that commission has been asked to submit its report within three months.

The commission of Enquiry will identify lapses on the part of police among other things. Mr. Chidambaram asserted that government will do everything to ensure safety and security of women.
