The Delhi Police today filed chargesheet in Delhi gang rape case in Saket metropolitan magistrate court. Over one thousand page charge sheet gives in detail the crime and charges against the five accused in December 16th gang rape case. Theyhave been charged with murder, attempt to murder, gang rape, kidnapping, robbery and destruction of evidence.
The sixth accused, who is thought to be a juvenile, will be charged separately. His bone density are being analysed now to ascertain if the sixth accused is a juvenile or an adult.The charges against him will be submitted before a juvenile justice Board.
According to reports, the chargesheet says that DNA reports have confirmed that all the six accused were involved in the horrific crime in which the 23-year old girl lost her life later in a hospital in Singapore.
Earlier, Chief Justice of India Altamas Kabir inaugurated a fast track court at Saket court complex in Delhi last evening. The gang rape and murder of the 23 year old physiotherapy student in Delhi will be the first case to be heard in this court.Strongly advocating for courts to act as a deterrent in the future to check crimes against women, Chief Justice of India, Altamas Kabir yesterday said a serious message needs to be sent in dealing with such heinous crimes.
