New Year day brought cheer to Delhiites who experienced a pleasant weather as mercury rose above normal level though a cool breeze kept the chill in the air. The sky was dark since afternoon and it drizzled in some parts of the capital in the evening. The mercury sank to a low of 8.4 degree Celsius early this morning, one degree above normal. Today's maximum was recorded at 19.5 degree Celsius. The MeT department has forecast for tomorrow, shallow fog in the morning with the maximum and minimum temperatures hovering around 20 and 9 degrees Celsius.
