Delhi experiences heavy to moderate rain

Heavy to moderate rain lashed the national capital this afternoon resulting in waterlogging and traffic snarls in many areas. According to Met office, Delhi recorded 32.6 mm of rain from 8.30.in the morning to 5.30 in the evening. The heavy showers began at around 2 PM and lasted for about 90 minutes. Waterlogging was reported from outside Parliament, Parliament Annexe, Red Cross, Krishi Bhavan, Rafi Marg, ITO, Laxmi Nagar and Kashmere Gate. Collection of water led to traffic jams near Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Birla Mandir, Mandir Marg, Minto Bridge and Savitri Cinema on Outer Ring Road. The city has been receiving rain for the past three days after a lull of about a week.
