The trends available indicate a close three corner contest in Delhi with Aam Aadmi Party giving a tough fight to BJP placing the Congress to the third place. Following this, Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit has tendered her resignation and she was trailing behind Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi constituency. Delhi BJP Chief Ministerial candidate Dr. Harshvardhan is leading.
The first three election results from Delhi have come in. Aam Admi Party has won two and BJP bagged one. AAP candidate Veena Anand defeated her nearest BJP rival Poornima Vidyarthi in Patel Nagar constituency. Another AAP candidate Satyendra Kumar Jain has won Sakurbasti seat. The third result has gone in favour of BJP's Nand Kishore Garg winning the Trinagar constituency. The BJP has won one seat and is leading in 34, AAP has won 2 and is leading in 23, Congress is leading in 6, BSP -1, SAD-1 and Independent and Others are leading two.
In Patparganj seat, Manish Sisodia of AAP is ahead of his BJP rival by 5,000 votes. In Krishnanagar constituency in East Delhi, BJP Chief Ministerial candidate Dr Harsh Vardhan is leading by 10 thousand 500 votes after the fourth round of counting of votes over AAP candidate.
