State Government of Delhi has declared 2011 as the 'Year for Water Conservation' and has urged the citizen to preserve the life saver. While inaugurating a water preserving gallery in the national capital the Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said that the haphazardly growing population has brought the water resources under tremendous stress. She expressed concerns of losing the scarce resource if paradigm shift of thought would not be brought among the masses. She also said that the collective efforts should be made to keep Yamuna clean lies by not polluting the river and using the water judiciously.
