Delhi Daredevils thrash Wayamaba Eleven with a 50-run win over in a Group D match of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament in New Delhi. Playing their first match of the tournament, the Wayamaba Eleven found the going tough throughout the match and could manage just 120 for seven. Mahela Jayawerdene scored 53 runs. Earlier, the Delhi team won the toss and decided to bat first. Virender Sehwag returned to form in style with a quick fire 67 off just 42 deliveries, while Dinesh Karthik scored 61 in 41 balls to propel Delhi Daredevils to a competitive 170 for four. The left-armer Nannes took four wickets for 24. The win helps Delhi Daredevils to stay alive in the tournament. Wayamaba will now have to win against Victoria Bushrangers and that too with a better run-rate than Delhi to advance into the next stage.
