Delhi Daredevils beats Kings XI by 5 wickets

Delhi Daredevils opened their IPL campaign on a winning note snatching a five-wicket victory over Kings XI Punjab in a thrilling cricket encounter at Mohali yesterday.Delhi first restricted the Punjab side to 142 for nine, thanks to nice bowling by pacer duo of Dirk Nannes and Farveez Maharoof, and then overhauled the target with just one ball to spare at the floodlit PCA Stadium.Gambhir, who raced to his half-century off 40 balls, hit nine boundaries and one six, while he got good support from Mithun Manhas, who came out with an unbeaten 31 off 24 balls.In another match, Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals by 4 runs in Mumbai. Mumbai Indians scored 212 for six in stipulated 20 overs after electing bat first. Chasing a victory target of 213 runs, Rajsthan Royals could manage only 208 for 7 in 20 overs. Yusuf Pathan scored a brillient century for Rajasthan Royals, while Ambati Rayudu made 55 and Saurabh Tiwari 53 for Mumbai Indians.
