Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday visited LNJP hospital in the national capital to enquire about the health of the two Taiwan nationals injured in the firing incident near the Jama Masjid on Sunday. Medical Superintendent of LNJP Hospital Amit Banerjee said the patients are out of danger and are doing fine. The Chief Minister has asked hospital authorities to monitor their status round-the-clock and take special care of the victims. Home Minister P Chidambaram also on Sunday visited the hospital and enquired about their health conditions. Meanwhile, a red alert has been sounded after the incident. Police has erected barricades on stretches across the capital and is conducting checks. Parking of vehicles outside Commonwealth Games venues have been banned in the wake of firing. Union Home Ministry says it is closely monitoring the investigations and has sought a report from the Delhi Police.
