To provide better transport facilities to the commuters in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Friday flagged off a Volvo Air conditioned low-floor CNG-fuelled city bus from the Delhi Secretariat. Speaking on this occasion, Dikshit said Delhi has become the first state to introduce the first such service on public transport route. The new bus will ply on Teevra Mudrika route.Delhi Transport Minister Arvinder Singh, who was also present on the occasion, said the fare in the Volvo bus will be similar as in the DTC air-conditioned buses. He expressed confidence that the new bus will not only provide comfort to the commuters but will also be liked by all.
