Delhi Chief Minister Mrs Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday met Home Minister P. Chidambaram and discussed the security situation in the national capital in the wake of the blast out side Delhi High Court.

In the meeting, Mrs Dikshit requested the Home Minister to take the necessary steps so that similar incidents do not occur in future.

According to official sources, Mr Chidambaram told her that all appropriate steps are being taken to strengthen the security mechanism.

Later after the meeting while talking to reporters Mrs Dikshit appealed to the people not to panic and government will do whatever needed.
