Delhi Cabinet Thursday approved the recommendation of the Group ofMinisters, GOM to accelerate the pace of regularisation ofunauthorised colony. The GOM consists of PWD Minister Mr. Raj KumarChauhan, Education Minister Arvinder Singh and Labour Minster Ramakant Goswami was constituted to suggest in respect of various issues relating to unauthorized colonies, urbanized villages, resettlementcolonies, private katras and others.The Decision to this effect wastaken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. SheilaDixit. Talking to reporters after the meeting she said that there willbe no dearth of funds for development in unauthorized colonies. TheCabinet instructed the agencies involved in the developmental works to accelerate the pace of works in order to ensure civic amenities to the residents of unauthorized colonies.The Cabinet also decided to release special fund for undertaking large scale development works in urban villages under a separate scheme to be administered by the Urban Development Department.
