The Airport Metro will begin international check-in from Thursday at its New Delhi and Shivaji stadium stations.A spokesperson of the Airport Metro said that the facility will allow fliers to check-in their baggage before boarding the metro to reach the new swanky Terminal-3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport, IGI.
International fliers can board Delhi's showcase Airport Metro baggage-less and they will be given the boarding pass at the station itself. The spokesperson said that national carrier Air India will begin this facility and private carriers will also follow suit.
Our correspondent reports that talks are on with other airlines that have international service from the IGI Airport, to come and set up their check-in counters at the Airport Metro stations.
