A delegation of BJP MPs led by NDA Working Chairperson L K Advani today met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and demanded immediate relief to farmers from Andhra Pradesh affected by incessant rains. In a memorandum submitted to Dr. Singh, the BJP leaders sought his immediate attention to the sufferings of the farmers due to untimely incessant rains over the last four months and the two cyclones. Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu, who led a party delegation to the affected areas of Andhra Pradesh, said 15 districts of the state have been affected. Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar later met BJP leaders in Mr. Advani's office in Parliament and assured them that he would visit the affected region. He promised to look into their demands
