In Uttar Pradesh, the delegates have began arrive to participate an International Buddhist Conclave at Varanasi. It is being organized by the Governments of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Ministry of Tourism Government of India jointly with a view to showcasing and projecting the Buddhist Heritage of the country.Formal inauguration will be taking place tomorrow. Cultural teams from different states will be presenting their programmes today besides attending of famous Ganga Arti by foreign delegates.Our correspondent covering the conclave reports that about 250 delegates from India and abroad are expected to attend the Conclave. Above 100 Overseas guests from 31 countries including Buddhist Scholars, Tour Operators and Media representatives from both mainstream media and travel journalists are also included in the participants. The other states with Buddhist sites like Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and Orissa are also associated in the event.
