Dehradun records season’s hottest day

In Uttarakhand, Dehradun recorded the hottest day of the season when the mercury rose to 41.7 degrees. It is also the highest temperature recorded in the month of May in the city since 2004 when it was recorded at 41.6 degrees. According to director met department Aanand Shama the maximum temperature is about six degrees above normal. AIR correspondent reports that heat wave conditions prevailed in Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and other plain areas of the state.
