In Rajasthan, the Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reached the Uttarlai Air Force Station of Barmer this evening. Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanova also accompanied her. <br/><br/>The Defense Minister visited the station and examined the air defense preparations. Addressing the Air Force soldiers, the Defense Minister praised of the discipline and dedication of defense forces.<br/><br/>The Defense Minister spoke to Air Force officials and took feedback on security arrangements. Uttarlai Air Force station is very close to the border of Pakistan and it is an important place in the country's advance air stations regarding national security. The role of this airport was important in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
