Defending champs Indian Oil takes on Air India in Beighton Cup

Defending champions Indian Oil set up a summit clash with Air India after both the teams registered easy wins in their respective semi-finals of the Coal India 115th All-India Beighton Cup Hockey Tournament in Kolkata on Tuesday. Indian Oil ousted last year's runners-up South Central Railway 4-1, while Air India rode on a hat-trick by Bitto Singh to thrash Punjab SC 5-1 in the other semi-final. India international forward Prabhjot Singh gave Indian Oil the lead in the 20th minute before the railmen equalised through Innocent Kullu in the 30th. After the break, Hamza Mustafa (49th), Affan Yusuf (58th) and P R Raghunath (61st) scored to help Indian Oil seal the final berth. Bitto struck thrice in the 17th, 19th and 40th minutes, while Vikram Pillai (10th) and A B Cheeyana (63rd) slammed the board in Air India's win over Punjab SC. Manish Rana scored in the 25th minute for the Punjab outfit. All India Radio, Delhi will broadcast the live commentary alternatively in Hindi and English of the final match on Rajdhani and other Channels from 1355 hours to 1530 hours or till the end of the match on Wednesday.
