Defending champions Bengal take on Manipur on Monday in the final of the Santosh Trophy, 65th National Football Championship at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Guwahati. In the semi-finals, Manipur beat Services with Thoiba Singh netting the winner while Bengal rode on Budhiram Tudu's strike against Railways to make it to the final. It will be a contest between experience and exuberance. Bengal have won the championship a record 30 times however in this edition Manipur held Bengal to a 2-2 draw in a quarterfinal. Manipur adorns a young side with the average age of the players being 23. Manipur had won the Santosh Trophy in 2002 defeating Bengal.
