Defence Secretary Pradeep Kumar arrived in Sri Lanka aboard a special flight today for a three-day visit to promote defence ties between the two countries. Mr Pradeep Kumar is scheduled to meet his Sri Lankan counterpart , Gotabhaya Rajapaksa later this afternoon. During the course of his visit , besides meeting the Sri Lankan Foreign Minister GL Peires, he is also scheduled to call on the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.Defence Secretary will also pay homage at the IPKF memorial tomorrow morning. Mr Kumar is also scheduled to go to the holy town of Anuradhapura tomorrow, which is also a major military base.
