Defence minister Manohar Parriakar has suggested Defence estate officials and cantonment boards to focus on modern state of the art facilities to convert waste to energy. Addressing a conference of Indian Defence Estate Service in New Delhi today, Mr Parrikar said, the government is giving thrust on cleanliness. He said, defence ministry will get special fund for Swacch Bharat mission. <br/><br/>The minister emphasized that telephone connectivity problems in cantt areas across the country are being solved jointly by Communications ministry and telecom operators. Mr Parrikar also informed that a new bridge will be constructed in Dhaula Kuan in Delhi cantt area to deal traffic congestion.
