Defence Ministry has sent a set of guidelines to operate unmanned drone at Kaziranga national park to prevent poaching. Official sources told AIR that the Centre has recently allowed Assam government to use drone to stop rampant poaching of rhinos at world heritage site Kaziranga national park. <br/><br/>The park authority will set up a committee which will include airforce personnel to look into the operational procedure of drone. Poachers killed 10 rhinos during last 8 months in Assam. Meanwhile, state Forest minister Pramila Rani Brahma alleged that a documentary broadcast by an international media group recently on Kaziranga is not based on facts. She said forest department has not killed anybody branding them as poachers as shown in the documentary. The minister also said, the documentary wrongly shown that the state government illegally carried out eviction drive.
