Defence Ministry has resolved a major pay anomaly related to Direct Recruit Entry Pay, affecting the emoluments of recruits who joined the Services prior to 2006. As per instructions of the Department of Military Affairs, Junior Commissioned Officers and Other Ranks of Y and Z group enrolled in 2003, 2004 and 2005 can now seek re-fixation of their pay with Pay and Allowance Offices and can claim the arrears of last 15 years.<br />'' <br />'' The decision will not only benefit all personnel of the Y and Z Group who joined Services between 2003 and 2005 but also the Other Ranks who re-mustered to a different trade where the element of direct entry exists.
