Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today visited the NCC Republic Day Camp in Delhi Cantt and conferred Raksha Mantri Padak and Commendation Cards to NCC Cadets for their exemplary performance and devotion to duty. <br/><br/>This year the Raksha Mantri Padak has been awarded to Cadet Priya of Uttar Pradesh Directorate. Raksha Mantri Commendation Cards have been awarded to CWO Bhubaneshar Rathore of Rajasthan Directorate, Captain Arundhati J Patel of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Directorate and Cadet Soumarjit Ghosh of West Bangal and Sikkim Directorate. <br/>'<br/>In her address, Ms Sitharaman complimented the NCC for doing exceptional work in national integration and nation building. She said, NCC is doing a yeoman service to the nation by transforming the youth of the nation. <br/>'<br/>The Minister also visited the Flag Area where he was briefed by the young cadets about their respective States highlighting various social themes. She also witnessed a cultural performance of the cadets.<br/>
