Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited forward posts along the Sino-India border in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday and interacted with the jawans deployed there. <br/><br/>A defence spokesperson said, Ms Sitharaman visited the highest post in the Daulat Beg Oldie sector and Chushul, one of the highest posts in Eastern Ladakh. <br/><br/>She was briefed on the operational preparedness of the forward areas. The Defence Minister complimented the troops on their steadfastness and dedication despite the harsh climate and terrain.<br/><br/>
