Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Srinagar on a two day tour of Jammu and Kashmir to review the preparedness of the armed forces and security in the hinterlands. AIR correspondent quoting defence spokesman said that Ms. Sitharaman will visit forward posts along Line of Control in north Kashmir areas. She would also assess the overall security situation in the State.<br/>'<br/>Defence Minister will also review anti-militancy operations with senior army commanders in Srinagar.<br/>'<br/>She will visit forward posts along Line of Actual Control (LAC) neighboring China in Ladakh region. She will also visit world's highest battlefield Siachen Glacier at an altitude of 5400 metres tomorrow and will have a discussion with soldiers there.<br/>'<br/>This would be her first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after assuming the charge as Defence Minister.
