Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today released the third positive indigenisation list in New Delhi to develop India as a defence manufacturing hub. The third list consists of over one hundred items, including complex equipment and systems which are being developed and likely to translate into firm orders over the next five years.<br />''<br />''Speaking on the occasion, Mr Singh said, the notification of the third list is a major initiative to achieve self-reliance in defence manufacturing. He expressed happiness that on the basis of 1st and 2nd indigenization lists, a contract worth 54 thousand crore rupees has been done so far, and orders worth four lakh 50 thousand crore rupees are expected to be placed in the next five to seven years. He said, the country is moving ahead with the vision of self-reliance in the defence sector. The 3rd list includes Sensors, Weapons ammunitions, Rocket, Naval Utility Helicopters, Patrol vessels, Anti-ship Missile, and Anti-Radiation Missile.<br />
