On the first day of his visit to Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the Armed Forces personnel at 'Bada Khana' Dinner, in Port Blair on Thursday evening. Expressing confidence that the country is in safe hands he said  Armed forces personnels have a major contribution in the country's progress. Mr. Singh said, the whole world looks at  India's perspective seriously at International platforms. He said Andaman Nicobar Command has enhanced its operation capabilities and played a significant role in providing human aid besides sea security and protection of Exclusive Economic Zone.<br />'' <br />'' Earlier, the Defence Minister reviewed the operational preparedness of Andaman & Nicobar Command and infrastructure development at operational areas during his visit to Andaman Nicobar command in Port Blair. Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN) Lieutenant General Ajai Singh briefed the Minister about the geo-strategic potential of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the role they can play in enhancing India's influence and support to military operations in the area.<br />''
