Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will arrive in Leh today on a two-day visit to Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. During his visit, Mr Parrikar will review the security and border situation and interact with army personnel at Leh. The Defense Minister will also inaugurate the week-long international festival of Buddhist Heritage of Ladakh. Mr Parrikar will also formally transfer the technology developed by the Defense Institute of High Altitude Research, a research unit of DRDO in Ladakh to a private company.
