Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will visit forward posts along Line of Actual Control (LAC) neighboring China in Ladakh region today. <br/><br/>Ms Sitharaman, who is on a 2-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, will also visit the world's highest battlefield Siachen Glacier which is at an altitude of 5,400 metres.<br/><br/>Yesterday, the Defence Minister visited the forward areas in the valley. She interacted with the troops and was briefed about the robust counter infiltration posture along the Line of Control. She was also briefed about the prevailing security situation in the state.<br/><br/>Ms Sitharaman also met Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and called on Governor NN Vohra.
