Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reviews security situation in Jammu and Kashmir

Army officials briefed her on the operational preparedness and counter-infiltration grid. During her interaction with the troops, Ms Sitharaman lauded their round the clock sharp vigil along the Line of Control and professionalism. She also asked them to remain for any eventuality to defeat nefarious designs of hostile forces</div>''<div></div>''<div>Defence Minister also called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik and discussed the prevailing security situation in the state. Ms Sitharaman met the Governor at Rajbhawan in Srinagar and the two leaders discussed issues related to security along the Line of Control and hinterland of the state.</div></div></div></div></div>
