Defence Minister Nirmala Sitaraman has asked bankers to hold MUDRA loan promotion campaigns in every district in the country. She disbursed cheques under MUDRA loan to beneficiaries in Chennai on Saturday at a function organized by the Tamil Nadu State Level Bankers Committee and the state government. <br/><br/>In her address, the minister said the scheme helps the poor to stand on their own. She said it is a testimony to the trust the Prime Minister has on the citizens of the country, as the loans do not require any collateral.<br/><br/>
