The Defence Minister Mr. A. K. Antony will be on a two-day visit to Seychelles beginning 18th of this month. He would be accompanied by a high-level delegation including the Defence Secretary Mr. Pradeep Kumar and the Vice Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral D.K Dewan. <br/><br/>During his visit, Mr. Antony will have discussions with the Seychelles leadership on bilateral defence cooperation. <br/><br/>Both sides would also discuss various security issues, including the maritime security situation in the Indian Ocean region, particularly in the context of the spread of piracy in and from the Gulf of Aden. The two sides will also explore the possibility of cooperation to combat this menace.
