Defence Minister A K Antony on Tuesday reviewed the security situation of the State particularly Jammu division at Unified Headquarters Meeting held in Civil Secretariat Jammu. The visit of Mr Antony who was accompanied by Chief of the Army Staff, General Deepak Kapoor and Defence Secretary, Pradeep Kumar besides other senior officials of the Ministry, came in the backdrop of repeated attempts by Pak trained militants to infiltrate into Indian territory and cease-fire violations by Pakistani Army and Rangers. <br/><br/>The Unified Command Meeting was attended by the top brass of the Army besides representatives of various Forces including State Police and Central Para-Military Forces . J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was also present in the meeting. Defence Minister who was also scheduled to visit some forward areas on Line of Control in Rajouri district could not go there due to bad weather conditions. However, before flying back to New Delhi, Mr Antony attended addressed Soldiers and had ‘Sainik Bhoj’.
