The Army Chief General V K Singh expressed the hope that one rank one pension scheme will be implemented soon in the army.

Addressing a conference of ex-army men at Sagar in Madhya Pradesh today, Gen. Singh said the scheme has been discussed with Defence Minister and he has assured that it will be implemented soon.

Gen. Singh also said that 13 hundred crore rupees would be required for the scheme. He said that due to certain issues. He said that army has declared the year 2012 as the retired army men year.
