In the 50th National Open Athletic meet being held at the Maharajas College grounds in Kochi, Deepamala Devi of the Railways won the gold in the 20,000 meter walk event for women.Sandhya K J of Kerala won the silver, while Supriya Adak of the Railways settled for bronze.Railways is leading the medal tally with five gold, five silver and six bronze medals in the events held so far. Karnataka and Tamil Nadu both with one gold and one bronze medal each are in the second and third place respectively.
