Mrs. Deepak Sandhu was today appointed as the Chief Information Commissioner. She was administered the oath of office by President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapti Bhavan.
Sandhu,a 1971 batch Indian Information Service officer has replaced Satyanand Mishra. She earlier served as Media Advisor to the prime minister and was the Principal Director General (Media & Communications) in the Press Information Bureau.
